Purple Onion Deli

Often named the best restaurant in town. Famous for lamb shank, vegetables and divine mash. The menu is short and the prices steep, but the portions and service are completely worth it.
Roter Hahn
Roter Hahn brings a slice of Germany to Clarens with hearty German dishes and one of South Africa's best selections of imported German beers. The attached shop sells German hot curry sauce, mustard and pickles.
Mosaic Pizzeria
A lovely pizza and pasta restaurant with crispy wood-fired pizzas, generous toppings and excellent salads. One of the most convenient vegetarian-friendly spots in the village, with flavours for every palate.
Clementines Restaurant & Bar
Clementines Restaurant & Bar can best be described as something of a landmark in Clarens. Located in Church Street, the menu at this venue is something you must taste. Starters include Blue Cheese and Walnut Salad, Lentil & Coriander Soup or Avocado Ritz. An absolute treat of a restaurant, done out in huge street scenes stretching floor to ceiling on double volume walls, live music, great service and delicious food. Specials are on a roll of brown paper and the feel is authentic upmarket Portuguese.
