South Africa is a culturalaly diverse country with a rich heritage.Potjiekos or Potjie which means small pot food is a tradition that traces its roots to many years ago around the 17th  century.The recipe for Potjie includes meat, vegetables like carrots, cabbage, cauliflower or pumpkin, starches like rice or potatoes. In a nutshell, a Potjie is a social activity with guests engaging in a firechat while the food cooks.The town of Clarens decided many years ago to host the Cluny Animal Trust Potjie Day Competition.
