Clarens is a small town found in the Free State province of South Africa. Despite its small size, the town has much to offer to tourists and people who wish spend their holiday away from the busy and noise of big cities.
Tucked in the foothills of the Maluti Mountains, is a fancy French Cottage whose built no doubts lures guests to book into it and experience the services it offers. Built with the iconic Clarens sandstone, the luxury apartment accommodates bedrooms for six people in its three bedrooms – it’s a place for one family. The bedrooms are built in such a way that there are no inconveniences, each bedroom has its own entrance.
The cottage has one upstairs with one bedroom on it and the other two bedrooms are situated downstairs. The upper bedroom has an en-suite bathroom while the other two bedrooms share a bathroom. The upstairs room is equipped with a king-size bed and while the downstairs bedrooms have two 3/4 beds.
The apartments have a reliable parking where families can park their cars. The cottage has a secure fence where children can run around inside with no probability of them running outside on pavements where there are cars.
Secure parking is provided and the garden is completely fenced off, making it safe for young children. Don’t worry about the chilly weather in South Africa, the cottage has a fire place where you can warm yourself as well as a big braai area downstairs.
The outdoor experience is naturally amazing, there are a variety of birds, grey duikers, porcupine, genets and dassies. The place also depicts a sense of history because of a big overhanging cave that has bushman paintings and perennial waterfall as well as an orchard and forest.
The French Cottage is a three hours’ drive from Johannesburg with self-catering establishments, lodges and B&Bs. Some of the facilities provided include horse riding, hiking, fly fishing, abseiling, white water rafting and golf.
