Global climatic patterns determine that every part of the world experiences different seasons at different times of the year. South Africa as a country which is in the southern hemisphere, its seasons stand in opposition to those in the north. Winter in South Africa is characterised by dry, sunny, crisp days and cold nights, sometimes with heavy frosts.The Free State province in particular tends to record very low temperatures with snow recorded in certain seasons. In order to keep the human spirit warm and alive during winter, the Free State town of Clarens is hosting the Rosendal Winterfees.
Rosendal Winterfees which will run from 7th to 9th of August will see residents of Clarens as well as visitors enjoy yarn bombing, knitting, bunting, artisan food and cider, gluhwein and beer as well as dinner and music.
This event which will start at 9:00 am on the 7th of August to 4:00 pm on the 9th of August is a perfect platform to put the heat on any winter chills and connect as couples, families or even as social groups.Visitors to Clarens will also get a chance to interact with residents of this quite but vibrant town of Clarens.
