Clarens Golf Estate, What to do in Clarens, Activity

For a bit of country charm the exclusive Clarens Golf Estate has you covered. The Clarens Golf Estate sits quietly in a valley with spectacular scenery. The area is rich with fossils and views of the geological wonder of the surrounding sandstone mountains.

With its several stylish and cosy self-catering two bedroom villas overlooking the valley and golf course are available for rent and equipped with everything you need for that mini break away.

Play golf of course, as the estate features a country style 18-hole golf course, which meanders along and across the tranquil river and its splendid series of dams and cascading waterfalls makes enjoying nature while putting and teeing off in your golf game easy. As you overlook the views of the manicured Kikuyu fairways and bent grass greens framed by mature willow and magnificent Lombardi Poplar trees.

Found on the grounds of the golf estate is the Clarens Golf Clubhouse with its Free State farm style architecture makes enjoying nature and watching a game of golf while surrounded by nature a breeze.

Guest and those who came to practice their golf swing go to the Clarens Golf Clubhouse for some food and drink service of a snack bar or maybe a preferred full scale dining experience found at the Clarens Golf Estate restaurant.

And an event that’s a permanent fixture at the Clarens Golf Clubhouse is the Clarens Fire Association fundraising Golf Day held annually in November.

Wildlife to look out for are a deer set of 13 springboks, one of them being a male copper springbok. They were recently released in July onto the golf estate and are left to roam freely on the golf course.
