Enjoy the wild thrill of this Free State horse riding activity as you gallop and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of cliffs and wonderful rock formations amongst the Maloti Mountains. Is another facility where you can enjoy an activity of Free State horse riding, and its situated just only 12km from Clarens, there’s horse riding mountain trails for experienced riders mixed in with game viewing. On these trails you’ll get to see mountain wildebeest, zebra, blesbok, springbok and sometimes Eland. You’ll also have an option of shorter trails ideal for the less experienced rider and for children, and that option offers picnic rides and horse lead rides.
The Free States only national park, which is 22km from Clarens, also offers one hour horse rides along a scenic trail within the park and riders are escorted by a guide. Wildlife feature at the park and these include mongoose, eland, zebras and over a 100 bird species.
